Parks & Recreation

The city has many passive parks that citizens and visitors alike may stroll through and enjoy.

Flagler Park

Located between Park Street and Hwy 70. Map.

Flagler Park consists of five blocks of the city and is host to several organizational events throughout the year:

  • Speckled Perch Festival, 2nd weekend in March of each year
  • Memorial Day honoring those who have served in our armed forces
  • Labor Day Festival
  • Art in the Park
  • Christmas Festival

Veterans Park 

Located on the corner of Hwy 441 and Hwy 70.

Specific events held in honor of those who have served and are serving to protect our country through the armed forces:

  • Memorial Day
  • Veterans Day

City Hall Park

Located across from City Hall at 55 SE 3rd Avenue.

  • Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Santa in the Park

Centennial Park – our newest park

Located right on Taylor Creek at 701 SE 6th Ave. Map.

Amenities include:

  • playground
  • bathroom facilities

Future amenities:

  • dock and marina
