The goal of the
Planning and Zoning Department is to ensure requirements that are set forth in the
Comprehensive Plan for the City are met pursuant to the Goals,
Objectives and Policies set forth in the Comprehensive Future Land
Use Element adopted March 19, 1991.
To ensure future development in the City shall be
guided by the availability of and efficient use of public facilities and services
as well as site characteristics such as soil conditions and
make certain that all new development is consistent with the
Future Land Use Element.

in size or intensity of
existing land uses and zoning designations which are not consistent
with the Future Land Use Element.
